This Privacy Policy describes how Time Forte Marketing Esportivo, as organizer of the Mediterráneo Cup, collects, uses, stores and protects the personal data you provide on this website (mediterraneocup.com). It is written in plain language and complies with the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD, Law nº 13.709/2018) and the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, Regulation EU 2016/679).
1. Who controls your data
The controller of personal data collected on this website is Time Forte Marketing Esportivo, official organizer of the Mediterráneo Cup. For matters relating to this policy or to the processing of your data, contact us at contacto@mediterraneocup.com.
2. What data we collect
We collect only the data you choose to provide in the team-registration form in the 'Contact' section: contact person's name, academy or club, country, e-mail, WhatsApp number and category of interest (U9, U11, U13, U15 or U17). We do not collect sensitive data (racial or ethnic origin, religion, political opinion, health, biometric or genetic data). We do not collect data from minors — the form is intended for technical staff, directors or adult representatives of clubs.
3. Why we use your data
We use your data exclusively to: (a) contact you by e-mail, phone or WhatsApp about your club's participation in the Mediterráneo Cup; (b) send commercial information, registration terms, deadlines, documentation and tournament logistics; (c) answer enquiries you have sent through the form. We do not sell, rent, trade or transfer your data to third parties unrelated to the event.
4. Legal basis for processing
Processing of your data is based on your free, informed and unambiguous consent (LGPD art. 7, I and GDPR art. 6(1)(a)), expressed by ticking the consent checkbox and submitting the form. Where applicable, we also rely on legitimate interest (LGPD art. 7, IX and GDPR art. 6(1)(f)) to respond to a commercial enquiry initiated by you.
5. With whom we share your data
Your data is stored in a Google Sheets spreadsheet managed by Time Forte, processed by a Google Apps Script that Time Forte itself controls. Google acts as data processor in this operation, subject to its own privacy policy and to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. We do not share data with marketing agencies, ad networks, data brokers or remarketing platforms. We do not perform international transfers beyond those occurring within Google's infrastructure.
6. How long we keep your data
The data provided in the form is retained for up to 24 (twenty-four) months after the last commercial contact related to the Mediterráneo Cup, or until you request its deletion, whichever comes first. After this period the data is anonymized or permanently deleted.
7. Your rights as a data subject
You may, at any time and free of charge: (a) confirm whether your data is being processed; (b) access your data; (c) correct incomplete, inaccurate or outdated data; (d) request anonymization, blocking or erasure; (e) request portability to another provider; (f) withdraw consent; (g) object to processing based on legitimate interest; (h) be informed about parties with whom we share your data. To exercise any of these rights, e-mail contacto@mediterraneocup.com with the subject 'LGPD/GDPR rights'. We will respond within the legal deadline of up to 15 (fifteen) days.
8. Cookies and local storage
This site does not use tracking HTTP cookies. It only uses browser local storage (localStorage) to remember your language choice and your decision on the cookie banner. Full details are in our Cookie Policy.
9. Information security
We adopt reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including: HTTPS communication on every page and submission; input sanitization and validation on both client and server; rate limits to prevent abuse; no personal data is written to public logs. No system is fully secure — in case of an incident that may pose a risk to your rights, we will notify you and the competent authority as required by law.
10. Data Protection Officer (DPO)
For matters relating to the processing of your data, the role of the DPO or notification of incidents, contact contacto@mediterraneocup.com. Full details of the DPO can be requested through the same channel.
11. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated to reflect changes in our practices or in applicable law. Material changes will be flagged on this page with a new 'Last updated' date. We recommend reviewing this document periodically.
12. Applicable law and jurisdiction
This policy is governed by the laws of Brazil and of the European Union, according to the data subject's residence. Any disputes will be resolved primarily through direct dialogue; if disagreement persists, the jurisdiction of the data subject's domicile applies, as provided in art. 18 LGPD and art. 79 GDPR.
